Our name comes from the way we do things

We believe all organisations have public relations – whether they seek to manage their profile or reputation proactively or not. The choice is entirely over to you. That said, you may wonder how you will get customers or clients if they don’t know you exist.

While PR is more than just placing news releases and getting media coverage; ‘earned’ media or editorial, is one of the most effective ways for an organisation to raise their profile, gain credibility and present their point of view, without paying for advertising.

We have yet to meet a chief executive who didn’t want to read (or listen to) a great story about their business in the media – even better if it is accompanied by images of their products or logo!

Perhaps the most important job we do is to advise what not to do. We are experienced and we know what works. Just as importantly, we know what doesn’t work so you won’t waste your time and money on initiatives that won’t deliver results.

"If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got" – WL Bateman. For different results, call Accentuate.

Accentuate – what’s in a name?

Our inspiration was simple and comes from one of our favourite songs which, to us, sums up Public Relations – ‘Accentuate the Positive’. The music was written by Harold Arlen and the lyrics by Johnny Mercer.
You may recall the Bing Crosby/Andrews Sisters version which appeared in the 1986 BBC serial The Singing Detective. Check out this version, sung by Bing Crosby and Bette Midler:

Simply put, we help accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.
