ThunderMaps welcomes new board members Aden Forrest and Nick Gerritsen

The specialist enterprise safety app company ThunderMaps today announced that it has appointed Nick Gerritsen and Aden Forrest to its board.

ThunderMaps founder Clint Van Marrewijk said, “The appointment of these two leaders strengthens our governance and helps the company realise its potential.”

Aden Forrest is an experienced director with significant expertise in cloud-based technology and digital sales and marketing. Aden has a particular passion for business initiation and growth planning. His career history includes establishing and running Salesforce, the world’s number one CRM brand, in Australia and New Zealand, and then heading Marketo, the category leader for marketing automation, in Australia.

Nick Gerritsen specialises in developing technology propositions from the ground up, and has been a leader in promoting New Zealand’s contribution to emerging megatrends such as Clean Technology, the Internet of Things, and GovTech. During his legal career, he advised leading corporates on intellectual property and later enjoyed a string of successful business ventures, most notably in the radio and software sectors. He has been a consultant to New Zealand On Air, Radio New Zealand, Te Māngai Pāho (the Māori Broadcasting Funding Agency), and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

ThunderMaps Group CEO Rahul Watson Govindan says these appointments come at a time when the company is experiencing strong global growth, with a new office opening in Sydney, Australia this month.

“Our ability to recruit such high calibre board members is a good sign for our company direction and our strong value proposition, and it gives us great confidence in achieving our international growth ambitions over the next two years.

“Clients such as Vodafone, Veolia and AngloGold Ashanti have come on board in recent months and join existing customers like Downer, TBfree New Zealand, and CCS Disability Action.”
